Effective January 1, 2017, all of the Carrying a Concealed Weapon permits will be processed and issued by Nevada County Sheriff's Office-Truckee Branch, located at 10879 Donner Pass Road, Truckee. The process will be handled by appointment only.

Renewals
If you currently hold a CCW issued by Truckee Police Department, a notification letter has been sent to you and your file has been transferred to Nevada County Sheriff's Office and will remain valid until the noted expiration date. Upon renewal, applicants will need to comply with all Nevada County Sheriff's Office policies and guidelines.
