The Truckee Town Council adopted the following two-year strategic plan and focus areas:
- Actively support the development of workforce housing.
- Reduce greenhouse gas emissions and become a leader in environmental sustainability.
- Enhance communication and public outreach.
- Invest in key infrastructure, community connectivity and economic vitality.
- Enhance partnerships and investment for emergency preparedness including wildfire readiness, mitigation and recovery.
All priorities are considered equally important, with no single priority taking precedence over the others. The graphic of the strategic focus area is circular, symbolizing the interconnectedness of the five priority areas. These priorities aim to propel the Town towards becoming a sustainable, safe, inclusive and connected community, while also addressing the need for affordable and workforce housing.
