Looking to hold an event in Truckee?

Step 1: Please review our special events policy

Step 2: If a permit is required, determine if your event is a Peak Season Traffic Impact Event

A Peak Season Traffic Impact Event (1) takes place during Peak Season (3rd Friday in June - Labor Day or 3rd Friday in December - 1st Sunday in January) AND (2) requires traffic control measures, which include: a road closure on an arterial or primary roadway; traffic control points; or personnel required to implement a traffic control plan.

Step 3: Submit a special event application:

Special Event Application for Peak Season Traffic Impact Events Part 1 (due January 15 for summer peak season and August 15 for winter peak season) and Part 2
