The Town of Truckee, in partnership with Nevada and Placer Counties, the Workforce Housing Association of Truckee Tahoe (WHATT), and the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation, has hired Bay Area Economics (BAE) to conduct a regional housing study for the  North Tahoe region (Town of Truckee, eastern Placer County from the Town boundary to North Lake Tahoe, east to Crystal Bay, west to Tahoe City, and south to Tahoma, including areas along Highways 267 and 89 South, and the Donner Summit area – Sugar Bowl, Boreal, Soda Springs, and Royal Gorge). 

The 2016 Truckee North Tahoe Regional Workforce Housing Needs Assessment  full report is now available.
