The Administrative Services Department prepares the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). The Town’s financial statements present two types of statements, each with a different snapshot of the Town’s finances. The focus is on both the Town as a whole (government-wide) and the individual funds of the Town (fund financial statements). The government-wide financial statements provide both short-term and long-term information about the Town’s overall financial status. The fund financials focus on the individual parts of Town government, reporting the Town’s operations in more detail and on a short-term basis.
The Management’s Discussion and Analysis (618KB) section of the fiscal 2018-2019 CAFR provides financial highlights of the Town’s operations as well as an analytical overview of the Town’s financial activities.
The report is audited by independent outside auditors, who express an opinion on the fairness of the financial statements.
The Truckee Town Council accepted the fiscal 2018-2019 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and Audit report at the December 10th, 2019 Council Meeting.
The Town of Truckee Redevelopment Agency was dissolved as of January 31, 2012. As of FY 2011/2012 separate audited financial statements are not prepared for the Town of Truckee Redevelopment Successor Agency which is responsible for the wind down of all redevelopment activities.
