ReImagine Bridge Street
Intersection and Pedestrian Improvements Planned for Downtown Truckee
Town of Truckee’s “Reimagine Bridge Street: Linking Downtown” identifies four alternatives
to improve the Bridge Street intersections.
The Town of Truckee is exploring intersection improvement alternatives for Bridge Street at Donner Pass Road and East/West River Streets in order to improve pedestrian safety and circulation while maintaining or improving traffic operations.
A Public Advisory Committee (PAC) made up of residents, business owners, and developers was assembled by Town representatives to gather input in the development and review process of 18 proposed intersection alternatives. The 18 alternatives were categorized into four major groups: 1) minor improvements; 2) roundabouts; 3) traffic signals; and 4) roadway reconfiguration.
Reimagine Bridge Street: Linking Downtown is ready for community input! Top alternatives have been selected from each of the intersection improvement categories and residents are encouraged to select their favorite improvement option by taking the survey at www.townoftruckee.com/ReimagineBridgeStreet. In addition, the project website includes video simulations of each project alternative and residents can submit their questions and comments straight from the project page.
