Public Art

Truckee has long been home to a thriving community of artists, creatives, and makers. Our community is filled with a variety of examples of public art.

Public Art Master Plan

In 2019 the Town of Truckee adopted the community's first Public Art Master Plan. The Plan established a suite of robust goals and next steps for formalizing Truckee's public art program, including development of a formalized processes to selected public art opportunity sites, and to solicit and select art.

The Public Art Master Plan (PDF) also called for establishing a public art commission that provides leadership and input into the management of the program.

Art Suggestions

The Public Art Commission of Truckee has endeavored to make the information provided in the Public Art Inventory as accurate as possible, but we welcome suggestions, changes, and corrections. If you have additional information about art or suggested inclusions, please fill out the Truckee Public Art Inventory Recommendations Form. Please provide as much information as possible. The PACT will periodically review suggested updates to the inventory document and appreciate public input.
