 Due to localized flooding conditions in the Truckee area the public needs to be advised of the following. For the most up to date information regarding flooding conditions and road closures please tune to FM 101.5 KTKE.  

  • For any emergency please call 911.

  • To report information regarding local conditions (flooding, downed trees, etc.) please call 582-7707.

  • Local agencies are coordinating efforts to respond to flood conditions through a jointly established Emergency Operations Center at Truckee Town Hall.

  • As a result of potentially hazardous conditions if at all possible restrict travel.

  • Sandbags are available at Fire Station 92, located at 11473 Donner Pass Road. Click here for sandbagging instructions.

  • Local cable viewers can tune to Channel 6 for information.

  • Do not approach downed power lines. Please call 911 to report downed power lines

  • Due to high winds individuals should be prepared for power outages including alternate water supplies and lighting.

  • Generators and supplemental heat sources of heat can create lethal carbon monoxide. Generators should only be used in well ventilated areas.

  • Do not drive over streets with standing water.

  • Intersections with non operating signal lights should be treated as a stop sign.
