Town of Truckee Annual Financial Report
The Administrative Services Department prepares the Annual Financial Report (AFR). The Town’s financial statements present two types of statements, each with a different snapshot of the Town’s finances. The focus is on both the Town as a whole (government-wide) and the individual funds of the Town (fund financial statements). The government-wide financial statements provide both short-term and long-term information about the Town’s overall financial status. The fund financials focus on the individual parts of Town government, reporting the Town’s operations in more detail and on a short-term basis.
The Management’s Discussion and Analysis (636KB) section of the AFR provides financial highlights of the Town’s operations as well as an analytical overview of the Town’s financial activities.
The report is audited by independent outside auditors, who express an opinion on the fairness of the financial statements.
The Fiscal Year 2011-2012 Town of Truckee Annual Financial Report will be presented to Town Council at the January 8, 2013 Council Meeting for acceptance.
