Truckee Transit
The Town of Truckee offers both fixed route and Dial-A-Ride service in the Truckee area. These services provide a range of options for travelers to access recreational, employment, shopping and social service opportunities while helping our region’s environment. Fixed route services vary by season.
During the winter season (December 20, 2012 - March 31, 2013) a FREE fixed route/ski shuttle service is offered 7 days per week between Henness Flats, downtown Truckee, Donner Lake, Sugar Bowl, Donner Ski Ranch, Soda Springs, Royal Gorge, and Boreal ski resorts from approximately 6:00am to Noon and 2:45pm to 6:15pm.

During the non-winter season (April 1, 2013 – mid December 2013) buses serve the Truckee-Tahoe Airport, Recreation Center, Downtown Truckee, Gateway Shopping Center, Crossroads Shopping Center, Donner State Park and the west end of Donner Lake on a fixed hourly schedule from 9:05 AM to 1:05 PM and from 2:05 PM to 5:05 PM, every day except Sunday.
One-Way Bus Fare: Adult: $2.50; Senior/Disabled/Child Under 12: $1.00; Child under 3: Free
Day Passes: Adult: $5.00; Senior/Disabled/Child Under 12: $2.00

The Truckee Dial-A-Ride service is offered year round to the general public with priority service for seniors and persons with disabilities. This paratransit service is available for trips within the Town limits, over the same hours and days as the fixed route service. Transfers: Direct transfers to Placer County’s TART public transit service along State Route 89 (to Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Tahoe City) and along State Route 267 (to Northstar, Kings Beach and Crystal Bay, in winter only) are available at the Truckee Train Depot. Other TART connecting routes serve Lake Tahoe’s North Shore from Tahoma to Incline Village.
