Dr. Mark Brown D.C. (Council Member email) - Mark returned to Truckee in 2000 after his youngest child went to college. He grew up in this area and his family still lives in Reno. Following his discharge from the Air Force in 1976 he attended the Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles and established a chiropractic office in Irvine California in 1980. While living in Irvine he served with the California Chiropractic Board of Examiners as an Expert Examiner, Peer Review and Expert Witness in addition to his private practice. He also served on the Irvine Residents with Disabilities Advisory Committee and the Hazardous Materials Advisory Committee as a representative for the Irvine Chamber of Commerce, Board of Directors. He has an Occupational Safety Certification from The University of California at Irvine. Since returning to Truckee he has reestablished his chiropractic practice near town hall and also established Truckee Drug and Alcohol Testing. In 2005 Truckee Drug and Alcohol Testing was honored as the New Member of the year by the Contractors Association of Truckee Tahoe. He is a member of the Drug Abuse Testing Industry Association, Contractors Association of Truckee Tahoe, Truckee Chamber of Commerce and the California Chiropractic Association.
