The Town of Truckee encourages residents to create and maintain Defensible Space around their homes. The Town offers two programs to assist residents in disposing of yard waste: the Green Bag for Green Waste curbside collection program and Yard Waste Drop-off events.
Yard waste collected through the Green Bag program and drop-off events is taken to a biomass facility for the production of energy. Use the links on the left to learn more about the programs offered in the Town of Truckee.
