1. CALL TO ORDER.
2. PUBLIC COMMENTS. This is the time set aside for the public to address the Zoning Administrator on any matter not on the agenda. Testimony related to any agendized matter should be addressed at the time that item is considered. Comments are limited to three minutes.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES.
3.1 July 18, 2012 – Regular Meeting
4. PUBLIC HEARINGS.
4.1 Application No. 12-029/VAR-MUP (deSousa Variance for Single-Family Residence); Owner/Applicant: John and Sharon deSousa/Gavin Ball. Jenna Endres, Associate Planner.
The applicants are requesting approval of a Variance and Minor Use Permit to allow construction of a new three-story, 2,238-square-foot single-family residence on a 2,405-square-foot irregularly shaped lot on South Shore Drive in the Donner Lake area. The existing single-family residence would be demolished to allow for construction of the new residence.
Staff Recommendation: That the Zoning Administrator determine the project to be exempt from CEQA pursuant to Section 15270 (Projects Which Are Disapproved) and deny the Minor Use Permit based on the recommended findings.
Should the Zoning Administrator determine that the findings can be made to support approval of the Variance and Minor Use Permit, the project is exempt from CEQA pursuant to Section 15303(c) (New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures). In this case, staff has prepared recommended conditions of approval which could be included within the project approval.
5. ADJOURNMENT. To the next regularly scheduled meeting on September 5, 2012, at Town Hall in the Administrative Center.
