The entire Town of Truckee is declared a snow area and all structures are required to be engineered. To obtain a snow load for a particular subdivision see Table below. If multiple snow loads are indicated, or the project parcel is not located in one of these subdivisions, fax [(530) 582-7889] or e-mail the Community Development Department , the Division of Building and Safety (cdd@townoftruckee.com) with your assessor's parcel number. Please include the project street address and/or assessor's parcel number, a topographic datum reference elevation and a contact/fax number. Section 1608.3, including Tables 1608.3 and 1608.4 of Title 15 of the Town Municipal Code provides general snow loading criteria based on location and elevation of parcel.
