The Town of Truckee provides Truckee 511 (formerly Where's My Snow Plow) interactive mapping to the community to show where the snow removal equipment is, where they've been and a time range for their movement. Also available within this feature is a story board which provides interactive maps that reflect the plow patterns by subdivision. The storyboard lists each subdivision with the plow's standard schedule. The roads are numbered in the order they are to be plowed. Please keep in mind these scheduled routes can change based upon weather and road conditions. The story board is located by clicking the drop down to the left of "Truckee 511", click "Service Information", then click "Story Board Link". In the lower right corner of the Truckee 511 map you'll see what looks like 3 stacked pages. This is a legend which provides a time range using different colored breadcrumb trails behind the plows during a snow event.
The Town also offers YourGOV. YourGOV is an interactive reporting/mapping service provided to the public for reporting concerns and complaints directly to the Department of Public Works. Once on the site, complete the information requested and submit. It's that simple! You can download this application on your smart phone as well.
