Storm Drain Markers

The Engineering and Public Works departments have placed storm drain markers in several neighborhoods.

The markers are designed to help remind us all not to let anything go down the storm drains: storm drains carry urban runoff directly into our rivers and lakes. Dumping of hazardous materials and anything other than rainwater down our storm drains is prohibited. Visit the Keep Truckee Green page on Household Hazardous Waste Disposal for information on disposal of Solid Waste and Hazardous Material. Visit the What Can I Do section to learn how businesses and residents can contribute to cleaner storm water, in the process protecting the Truckee community and environment!

Keep your eye out for these markers in your neighborhood!
