Trails and Bikeways Master Plan
The Truckee Trails and Bikeways Master Plan is the long-range planning document for the design and construction of recreational trails and on-street bikeways within and adjacent to the Town of Truckee. An comprehensive update of the Master Plan was approved by the Town Council on September 22, 2015. Trout Creek Trail, CIP 60-10-06
The Trout Creek Trail is proposed to connect Northwoods Boulevard near Coyote Moon Golf Course to Downtown Truckee at Bridge Street just north of Highway 80. The proposed trail is a 10-foot-wide paved Class 1 trail along the future alignment of the 3rd Tahoe Donner Connector and along portions of Trout Creek. The trail is approximately 7,900 feet long. While future trail sections within Tahoe Donner are described in the Town’s Trails and Bikeways Master Plan, this is the only section being considered at this time.

Truckee River Legacy Trail
The Town acquired approximately 3.6 acres on the south side of Glenshire Drive immediately west of the Glenshire Subdivision. This property will be an important part of the Truckee River Legacy Trail, providing a trailhead at the western end of the trail.
