The Town Engineer is responsible for supervision and preparation of project plans for the Town. This position serves as liaison between the Town and other agencies on engineering matters. The Town Engineer works closely with the development of the Capital Improvement Plan; the review and approval of Town maps and encroachment improvement plans. The engineer is an advisor to the Planning Commission and Town Council on traffic, drainage and other engineering matters. Designation of street signage and the marking of town streets for traffic safety are also services provided by the Engineering department. The Town Engineer demonstrates the commitment to the community for sound, safe and financially responsible growth as well as a positive quality of life.
