Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe
Hosts 3rd Annual Balls in the Ruff Golf Tournament

TRUCKEE, Calif. – The Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe will host its third annual Balls in the Ruff Golf Tournament, a unique tournament set to benefit the homeless pets in and around our community.

The scramble-style tournament, to be held at noon on Friday, Sept. 14 at the Tahoe Donner Golf Course, will include fun contests throughout the event. Entry costs $150, including 18 holes of golf with cart, box lunch, a golfer goody bag and an awards dinner.

“Pet-themed contests throughout the course will make this the most fun you have playing golf this year,” said Stephanie Nisler, executive director of the Humane Society.

The golf tournament is presented by the Law Offices of Molsby & Bordner, LLP.  A hole-in-one hole, sponsored by Butch & Nancy Corum, has a $10,000 prize for a hole-in-one.

An awards dinner, sponsored by Elder Group Tahoe – Engel and Volkers real estate, will be held at the Tahoe Donner Lodge after play with lunch sponsored by Aegis Insurance. Rounding out the festivities and food and beverage offerings is the Golf Ball Cannon Hole sponsored by Emerald Bay Wealth Management, delicious beer provided by FiftyFifty Brewing Company, delectable deserts by Cornerstone Bakery, golf ball giveaway sponsored by Grille at Sawtooth Ridge and a gift for all our pet-loving golfers from Performance Air Services.

There will also be a raffle and other fun contest holes on the course, including a Wheel of “Furtune” and the Golf Ball Cannon Hole, which is sure to be a blast.

Go to hstt.org to register, and how to purchase additional dinner tickets for those not playing, which are $45.
